Do you know a Sustainability Champion?
Waste Fit Champions logo
Is someone at your organization, within your network or even yourself championing the efforts to reduce waste, implement recycling programs or kick-off sustainable material management programs that return revenue? Then submit them as a 2018 Waste Fit Champion. Rubicon Global, Sustainable Brands, Wharton Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership (IGEL) and Goodr Co. are teaming up to find the leaders who are shaping up their business sustainability plans or city by slimming down on waste.
A Waste Fit Champion is someone who:

Show us your metrics!
Nothing tells a better story when it comes to waste diversion than numbers. Tell us how many stores have gone zero waste to landfill as a result of the nominees leadership. How many tons does the company now recycle thanks to a new office program? Have they built out an organics program to significantly reduce food waste?

Here’s what to expect:
  • Nominations will be accepted up until 11:59pm on Sunday, September 30th.
  • You can nominate yourself or nominate someone else to be considered as a Waste Fit Champion.
  • Our judging panel will assess all entries and notify the 2018 Waste Fit Champions in early October to invite them to the Sustainable Brands New Metrics Conference where the 2018 Waste Fit Champions will be publicly unveiled.
To select the inaugural Waste Fit Champions, we’ve brought together three sustainability leaders.
