Meghan Kimpton is currently the Head of School at The Meridian School in Seattle, Washington and has over 19 years of educational experience in public schools, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector. She spent the early part of her career teaching 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades in the suburbs of Minneapolis and Chicago. After moving to New York City, she focused on supporting students with a wide variety of learning needs as a learning specialist at the Yellin Center for Mind, Brain, and Education. Meghan missed being in schools and classrooms, and so served as both a Director of Instruction and Principal at a charter school in the Bronx. Prior to joining the Meridian community, Meghan worked as an Instructional Coach and Curriculum Design Specialist for a nonprofit supporting schools in the New York City area.
Participants will gain an understanding of how Atlas can be used in the process of preparing for accreditation. Topics to be discussed will include how Atlas can help schools:
