WHO:
Ryan Cooper, Waste Diversion Manager and Global Organics Recycling Lead at Rubicon (Twitter)
WHAT:
Commercial organics recycling programs come in many forms. This presentation will describe the process of designing, implementing, and managing organics recycling programs, focusing on food scraps, but also considering compostable food service ware and other materials. Cafeterias in office buildings, break rooms in retail spaces, back-of-house restaurant programs, and packaged food waste from distribution centers all require different considerations. Attendees will hear about specific challenges and solutions related to organics mandates, contamination, recalls, and on-site solutions with real-world examples. Join Ryan Cooper for his presentation “Lessons Learned from Diverting Food Waste for Distribution Centers, Restaurants, and Grocery Stores.”
