Conor Riffle, Vice President of Smart Cities, Rubicon (Twitter)
WHAT:
Improving transportation, lowering a carbon footprint, and creating safer streets and better road conditions. These are all aspects of a smart city. Moving from responding to citizen complaints to anticipating citizen needs is the mantra of a smart city. The definition of smart cities is evolving. No longer is a smart city solely focused on transportation or security. Smart cities are now looking at waste and recycling, and leveraging technology and data to dramatically reshape how cities and municipalities serve their customers and enabling drivers and haulers to map a more circular economy. With a special introduction by Geotab, Conor Riffle will be joined on stage by executives from the City of Spokane, Washington and the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas to talk about “Getting Smart About Trash: How cities are turning to data-driven tools to meet the growing demands of waste and recycling management.”
