Rubicon Named a 2019 BUILD Magazine Awards Winner in Recycling and Waste Management

Atlanta, Georgia (January 6, 2020) — Rubicon announced today that the company has been named a 2019 BUILD Magazine Awards Winner in the category of Recycling and Waste Management.

As the world’s population continues to increase, so too does the amount of refuse and the by-products from our daily lives. The companies and organizations that have made it their mission to innovate and develop sustainable solutions to manage this problem are the focus of BUILD Magazine.

Rubicon views the construction and demolition (C&D) industry as a prime example of a part of the economy that can light a path for how materials can be recycled or reused. With wood, concrete, gypsum, and metal serving as integral parts of any construction project, opportunities to re-think how materials can be re-used and recycled are endless.

“Rubicon is a leader in environmental innovation in the waste and recycling industry, and we pride ourselves on using our technology for social good,” said Marc Spiegel, Co-Founder of Rubicon and Head of Construction & Project Solutions at the company. “We are appreciative that BUILD Magazine has recognized Rubicon for our commitment to recycling and reuse in the C&D space. For the world of C&D, it takes having a strong desire and a strategy to be environmentally friendly, but most of all, it takes a commitment from the top, driving that mindset. That’s what we work on daily with our customers from across the globe.”

Recently, Rubicon launched a partnership agreement with EarthCam, a relationship designed to provide a first-of-its-kind, integrated technology solution that effectively addresses major components of the construction industry’s sustainability practices.

Discussing the successes of the 2019 BUILD Magazine winners, Jack Wainwright, Awards Coordinator at BUILD Magazine, praised their hard work and commitment to excellence: “From those who find clean ways of disposing of nuclear waste, to the organizations uncovering how to stem the tide of plastic straw pollution, to companies using technology to lead in the areas of environmental innovation, we showcase the trendsetters and pioneering recycling specialists, as well as those who have sustained involvement in the daily struggle of community waste services.”

Published quarterly, BUILD endeavors to bring leaders the latest need-to-know content and updates from across the global construction and property industries.
