New Marketing Collaboration Adds to Growing History Between Sustainability Innovators
Atlanta, Georgia (February 18, 2020) — Rubicon has announced that it has entered into a new partnership agreement with State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This new agreement will assist to further communicate their shared mission to end waste, in all of its forms, as part of both pre-game and in-game features throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 National Basketball Association (NBA) season.
Within the partnership agreement, Rubicon’s messaging and content will also be displayed in multiple locations thought the arena, in multiple media formats.
“We are excited to continue to grow our sustainability and technology partnership with State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Hawks,” said David Rachelson, Vice President of Sustainability at Rubicon. “Rubicon’s mission is to end waste. With nearly 21,000 people being exposed to the Rubicon brand and messaging every game-night, we believe that in collaboration with the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, we can make a significant impact for our community.”
In mid-2019, State Farm Arena received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification. Rubicon’s work with State Farm Arena to recycle more than 12,500 seats back in 2018 was recognized as one of the key reasons for the certification. Also earlier that year, Rubicon engaged in a waste and recycling program with the Arena on a series of events that culminated in a five-day project that kept 12 tons of waste out of landfills and diverted them into recycling streams.
This partnership is a continuation of Rubicon’s history with the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena.
