Rubicon’s “Trick or Trash” Program Featured on WJMN (CBS)

Details of Rubicon’s “Trick or Trash” Halloween candy program for educators and their students, which was announced by the company three weeks ago, were featured on Marquette, Michigan’s WJMN (CBS) this morning.

Here’s a transcript of the remarks:

James Fillmore: “There’s an effort in Escanaba to get people to recycle their used Halloween candy wrappers. Rebecca Bartelme reports.”

Rebecca Bartelme: “Jessica Garber’s environmental club at Escanaba High School is new this year, and with it being the Halloween season, the club is incorporating that into saving the planet.”

Jessica Garber: “It was started by Rubicon, they’re out of Atlanta, Georgia, and they’re sending boxes that come from TerraCycle to 450 schools across the nation in 49 states, and kids can recycle their candy wrappers there.”

Rebecca Bartelme: “The group is also getting students at Lemmer Elementary involved by asking them to collect wrappers. People who would like to recycle their candy wrappers can drop them off at Escanaba High School.”
