Details of Rubicon’s smart cities partnership with the City of Norfolk, Virginia, which was announced by the city yesterday morning, were featured on Norfolk’s WAVY TV 10 last night:
Here’s a transcript of the remarks:
“Norfolk’s trash pickup is about to get a lot smarter. The city tapped a technology company to help streamline collection services. The city says that it will try the RUBICONSmartCity™ platform for the next six months. The program will use GPS vehicle tracking, along with real-time pickup monitors to enhance service for homeowners. The program starts in July.”
The partnership, which is designed to improve the residential waste services of Norfolk’s more than 61,000 locations, can be read about in more detail in our press release.
