Details of Rubicon’s smart city partnership with the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas were featured on Fort Smith’s KFSM (CBS) this afternoon:

“The City of Fort Smith is working on testing a smart city solution for residential and commercial waste management and recycling services. The pilot program, called RUBICONSmartCity, will last six months and will include a mobile app, plug-in device, and web-based portal… The technology will allow the city to collect real-time service confirmations, provide GPS vehicle tracking, and enable documentation of driver issues, or the inability to successfully complete a pickup.”

The partnership, which is designed to improve the residential waste services of Fort Smith’s nearly 90,000 residents and a landfill that serves up to 300,000 residents. Read more in our full press release.
