Here’s how our pricing structure and payment options work when you book a dumpster with Rubicon Now. Questions on pricing? Reach us at support@rubicon.com.
Houston pricing holds up well against neighboring Texas metros like Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas-Fort Worth. The all-inclusive flat-rate model strips out the hidden fees other waste management companies tack on after the fact.
Every rental comes with:
Yes. The checkout price is your written quote, locked in and sent to your email with the booking confirmation. The same number lands on your invoice when the job wraps, assuming you stay under the tonnage allowance.
The booking, scheduling, and management process for your Rubicon Now rental. If you have questions during booking, give us a call at 844-479-1507.
It’s simple and takes just three steps:
A local Houston-area hauling company. Rubicon Now handles the booking, dispatch, billing, and customer service, while a vetted hauler in your area brings the truck and the route knowledge. You book through one company, deal with one number, and get a local crew on the job.
We accept all major credit/debit cards.
Need to modify or cancel? Contact our customer service team as soon as possible. Change policies may vary depending on how close it is to your delivery date, but we’ll always try to accommodate your needs.
Yes. For larger projects, select multiple containers during booking.
Most Houston orders go out within 48 hours of booking. Same-day and next-day drops are available across the metro when our hauling partners have capacity. For tight timelines, call 844-479-1507 and we’ll work to fit you in.
Standard rental periods and how extensions work.
The standard window is 7 days. Need to keep it longer? Call us before your scheduled pickup or push the pickup date in your RubiconConnect portal to extend the rental for a daily fee.
How to pick the right size for the job. For one-on-one sizing help before you book, call 844-479-1507.
Lightweight debris (drywall, packaging, yard waste) can fill a 30-yard before you hit the tonnage limit. Heavy debris (concrete, brick, dirt, roofing) usually fits better in a partially loaded 20-yard, since weight runs out before volume does.
Roofing shingles, concrete, brick, tile, dirt, and wet debris. Houston customers reroofing a full home or hauling concrete from a driveway tear-out should plan on sizing up or splitting the load across containers. Not sure how your debris will weigh in? Call us. We’ve sized thousands of jobs across the metro.
Yes. The 30 and 40-yard containers are built for commercial buildouts, demo, ground-up construction, and major renovation work across Houston. Use the online flow, or call when a project needs multiple containers or recurring service.
For safety reasons, the dumpster should not be moved once it’s placed. If you need it relocated, please contact us, and our delivery professionals will move it safely for you.
Our 20-yard dumpsters include up to 3 tons of disposal weight, while 30-yard dumpsters include up to 4 tons. If you go over the included tonnage, additional fees will apply.
Most household and construction debris is accepted, including furniture, appliances, drywall, lumber, roofing materials, yard waste, and general junk. Hazardous materials, paint, batteries, tires, and certain electronics are not accepted. If you’re not sure about a specific item, contact us before booking.
Yes. Houston customers can book open-top containers built for cardboard, single-stream recycling, or organics. For job sites or facilities generating high volume on these streams, a dedicated container keeps the material clean and can lower your overall disposal costs.
On private property (driveway, lot, parking area), a permit usually isn’t required in Houston. For street or right-of-way placement, you’ll need approval through the City of Houston. Permit rules also vary across the metro’s incorporated cities like Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands, and Galveston, so check with the local permitting office before placement.

Yes. We support events at every scale. For larger events, book at least two weeks out so we can plan strategic container placement. Pickup dates can be adjusted via Support or RubiconConnect.
Roll-off dumpsters are built for temporary projects, not weekly trash. For ongoing household pickup, your city or HOA service is the right call. We’re happy to point you toward local providers.
Those can’t go in a Rubicon Now dumpster, but Rubicon’s mailback program handles them. Order a container, fill it with the restricted material, and ship it back for proper disposal. Available across the US, including everywhere we serve in Houston. Learn about mailback recycling.
Yes. Roofing is one of the most common Houston jobs we run, especially during storm season. Asphalt shingles run heavy, so plan on a 30-yard for most full-home tear-offs. Call 844-479-1507 if you want help sizing the job before booking.
Yes. Hurricane season, tropical storms, and freeze events all hit Houston hard, and the cleanup work that follows is some of the most time-sensitive hauling in the metro.
Our commitment to responsible waste management and handling.
Local haulers route recyclable materials to the right processing partners, and all debris is disposed of according to environmental regulations. We follow all local rules and guidelines on every job and vet every hauler in our Houston network for proper licensing, insurance, and disposal practices. Keeping material out of landfills wherever possible is part of the job.
Unexpected situations during your rental. Questions during the rental period? Call 844-479-1507.
If you notice any damage, please let us know right away. Normal wear and tear is expected, but significant damage should be reported promptly. Depending on the circumstances, repair costs for excessive damage may apply.
While rare, if your dumpster is stolen or vandalized, report it to local police, then contact us immediately. We’ll work together to resolve the situation. Placing the dumpster in a well-lit, visible area helps prevent these issues.
