Welcome to the Haul of Fame, a series from Rubicon® in which we sit down with a hauler partner to talk about their company, their community, and how they’re collaborating with Rubicon in our mission to end waste.

As our nation continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, the men and women at companies like these are on the front lines, continuing to drive their daily routes and keeping our communities safe and clean. Their work is key to maintaining sound public health and we thank them, now more than ever, for providing this essential service to our society.

Anytime Waste Systems, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is a waste and recycling hauling company offering containers, roll-offs, front ends, and more. Servicing the Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area with a fleet of 30 vehicles, Anytime Waste Systems has been working with Rubicon since 2017.

Anytime Waste Systems’ President, Aaron Metten, sat down with Rubicon to talk about his company and mission for the Haul of Fame.

How does Rubicon’s mission to end waste match-up to Anytime Waste Systems’ own company mission?

Anytime Waste Systems’ goal is to be a partner to the people, companies, and communities we serve. Part of that responsibility comes with a continuous effort to protect the environment so that younger generations can thrive in a more sustainable and resilient future. This mission can only be achieved by businesses in our industry, such as Rubicon and Anytime Waste Systems, coming together for the same purpose.

How does Anytime Waste Systems distinguish itself from the competition?

We have immense respect for the workforce in this industry. Our company strives daily to make sure we provide an employee-first culture. My appreciation for the hard work the Anytime team does to help keep the cities we serve clean is beyond words, and our company wants to make sure we never lose sight of this. We pride ourselves on the service provided to clients and our goal is to bring honesty, integrity, and passion to an industry that has sometimes fallen short in those categories.

What is the view of Anytime Waste Systems when it comes to participating in the circular economy and helping build a more sustainable future?

We have to move away from a linear economy and into a circular economy if we are going to build a more sustainable future. In order to make progress in this effort, companies from all industries need to come together with the same goal in mind. Together, a sustainable future for the upcoming generations is well within reach.

What do you love most about the community in which you work, and the customers you serve?

I was born and raised in Louisville and firmly believe this is the best city in which to live. Louisville is consistently rated as one of the friendliest cities in the nation, and if you spend any time here you quickly understand why. No matter who you are and what you do, the world brings its challenges, but having a community that is there for one another makes life so fulfilling. It brings me true joy to be a part of a company that gives back to the communities we serve while being a large part of keeping the city clean.

Where does Anytime Waste Systems see itself five years from now?

We want our company to be a place that our team members enjoy coming to each day, while providing opportunities in their career and personal lives. Anytime Waste Systems also looks forward to the continued growth within the communities we serve. As our company grows, so too will our philanthropy as I believe it is our responsibility to give back to those who have given us so much.
