It’s 5 a.m. and you’re opening shop. Rip open the box of freshly shipped coffee beans, pour them into the grinder, flip over the ‘Open’ sign on the front door and your day has begun. But wait, what happened to that box and the bag the beans were in? Oh yeah, you threw them away…out of sight, out of mind. The garbage man will just come get them later. But what if the garbage man didn’t, what if that box and bag stuck around, and by the end of the week, your dumpster was filled with bags and boxes that were starting to build up around your store? Not so “out of sight, out of mind” anymore, huh?
Your garbage man is an essential component of your business and how it operates, but because he is often “out of sight, out of mind,” we don’t think about him (or her) and the vital, yet thankless work he does. It’s easy to forget that just like you, garbage men are running a business, working to meet appointments and make it through the seemingly endless traffic jams without losing their minds. That’s why this National Garbage Man Week, we want to show our independent haulers some love and give them the appreciation they deserve by sharing their awesome stories and jokes with you! We even created a video of one of our partner haulers so you can understand how truly incredible these peeps are.
