The below is a copy of an all-employee email that Rubicon’s Founder and CEO, Nate Morris, sent at 8:25pm EDT on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Dear Team:

As news about COVID-19 and the global response to the pandemic has continued to unfold, I am very aware of Rubicon’s responsibility to our employees, customers, and community. During this time, my priorities are to keep you and your families safe, to ensure our customers are not disrupted, and to do our part to try and slow the spread of the virus.

As one of the oldest and largest Certified B Corporations, we have a responsibility to lead by example. Accordingly, we are taking the following actions immediately:

  1. We implemented a COVID-19 Control Policy that details our efforts to control the spread of the virus. The Executive Team is charged with monitoring the ongoing situation, and adapting the policy and our infrastructure as necessary.
  2. We established a company-wide emergency communication system that will allow us to disseminate important notices to all employees via e-mail, SMS, and voice.
  3. Out of an abundance of caution, we are recommending that all employees across all of our offices work from home if their role allows and they are able to do so. Your managers will have additional information regarding this transition tomorrow, and we will have resources to assist you with retrieving your equipment.

I am confident that we will be able to successfully adapt our efforts to ensure that we meet our responsibilities to our employees, customers, and community, and I sincerely appreciate the dedication you have shown to Rubicon and our customers.

Sincerely,

Nate
